Scott “The Dragon” Schilling born in New York City has been involved in music since the tender age of 4 years old. He started playing Guitar then Piano, eventually moving on to Drums and Percussion. Scott has been a Singer, Musician, Song writer, Producer, and Engineer of music since his teen years where he had a publishing and production deal at 17 years of age. He has produced all types of music. Pop, Dance, Techno, House, Rock, Rap, Movie Sound Tracks, Commercial Jingles and Children’s Cartoon Music.

Scott has an incredibly accurate ear that enables him to decipher any piece of music down to its finest elements, thus enabling him to accompany any music with perfect timing and assuring that every song will be a different vibe. The primary instrument played by “The Dragon’’ is the “Djembe” pronounced Jembe. It is a hand made West African drum from Mali. The word “Djembe” means to “Come together” “Bring People Together” “Do it together”.

Legend has it, that this specific drum has its own Soul/Life Force. Once the Drum is heard, people are immediately moved by its power, Cast into a rhythmic trance that moves them through a deep musical journey connecting with them not only on a musical level but on an emotional and spiritual level as well.

Brief History of the Djembe Drum

The djembe drum originally comes from the former 12th Century Mali Empire. Today the djembe is West Africa's most popular drum, and is a favorite among amateur and professional drummers outside of Africa. The djembe is often played with ksink ksink, a set of 3 flat shakers made of tin, which represent the shields worn by drummers who played during a battle to motivate and send messages to the warriors.
